A rare piece of South African cycling history! Handcrafted by legendary local frame builder Bill Lange, one of the select few South African craftsmen qualified to work with the prestigious Reynolds 753 steel tubing. Introduced in 1975, Reynolds 753 was renowned for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and required specialist certification due to its demanding silver-brazing construction process. Dating to approximately late 80’s - early 90’s, this beautiful DeLange features period Shimano Dura-Ace 7400-series components, Shimano 600 brake calipers and classic lugged steel construction. Individually stamped BL101 – 753 – 53, this is more than just a vintage road bike; it’s a surviving example of an era when racing bicycles were painstakingly built by hand, one frame at a time.

While it carries the character and age-related wear expected of a vintage bicycle, it remains fully functional, mechanically sound and ready to ride. It is ideally suited to a collector, vintage enthusiast or rider looking to enjoy a distinctive piece of cycling history.

The bicycle has no visible structural cracks or significant structural concerns. Please note that, owing to its age and vintage components, it should not be compared with a new performance bicycle.
